Beak Things den in specific regions — Vain, the Gut and others. Knowing where they live lets you route around them entirely rather than discovering them by surprise.
Scout Ahead
Keep the camera moving ahead of your squad while travelling. Spotting a Beak Thing early is the difference between a detour and a disaster.
Keep Athletics High
Beak Things are fast. A squad with low Athletics cannot outrun them. Train Athletics so retreat is actually an option.
If You Must Fight
Never fight a den in the open. Pull single Beak Things to a chokepoint, support with crossbows and polearms, and keep an escape route open.
