Regions & Map
Where you travel matters as much as how. These guides rate every region by climate, threats, loot and the level you should be before entering.
The Border Zone Moderate
The classic starting region. Green, central and full of Hungry Bandits — deceptively dangerous for a "beginner" zone.
Holy Nation Territory Low
Green, farmed and patrolled — the safest land on the map for the right character, a minefield for the wrong one.
The Great Desert High
The vast eastern heartland of the United Cities — rich in ore and money, thick with slavers and Dust Bandits.
The Fog Islands Extreme
A fog-drowned region of Hiver ruins crawling with Fogmen. High reward, very high chance of being eaten.
Vain High
A jungle of bone and rock, home to Beak Things and Skin Bandits. Beautiful, alien, and quietly lethal.
The Swamp High
A toxic wetland of acid rain and Blood Spiders — and the heart of the wasteland's drug economy.
The Deadlands Extreme
A black, blasted wasteland of Ancient ruin and roaming Skeletons. The scar the old world left behind.
The Ashlands Extreme
The endgame region — choking ash, lethal acid rain, and the most dangerous enemies in the world.
The Leviathan Coast High
A forested coast roamed by the colossal Leviathans. The danger here can also be the best loot on the map.
The Cannibal Plains Extreme
Forested eastern hills swarming with Cannibals. Cross it and you may not cross back.
Skinner's Roam High
A dry borderland prowled by Skin Bandits and Black Dragon Ninjas. Trust nothing that walks toward you.
Stobe's Gamble High
A bleak acid-rain region named for a doomed wanderer. The land itself is the enemy here.
The Gut Extreme
A grim region near the swamp, dense with Beak Things and Cannibal pressure. A corridor to the deep east.
The Black Desert Extreme
A dark, irradiated desert of Ancient ruin and Skeleton presence. Where the old world's machines still stir.
The Sonorous Dark Extreme
A perpetually dark, fog-bound region of strange sound and Fogman presence. Few go in; fewer come back.
