The Border Zone Moderate
The Border Zone looks safe until starving bandits outnumber your squad and beat everyone unconscious for stale bread.
The classic starting region. Green, central and full of Hungry Bandits — deceptively dangerous for a "beginner" zone.
Environment
The Border Zone is a temperate green region between Holy Nation and Shek territory, holding the iconic starter town of the Hub. Mild climate, no environmental damage, decent farmland.
Threats
The signature threat is the Hungry Bandit — desperate, starving raiders who attack for food. They are weak individually but travel in large packs. Dust Bandits and Holy Nation patrols also cross the region.
Loot & Resources
Copper and iron nodes are common, and the Hub sits on a copper-rich patch that makes mining a reliable early income. Farmland is workable. Ancient ruins are modest but accessible.
Best Uses
Early-game training, copper mining for starting cash, and a stepping stone to Squin and Shek territory. A reasonable but not painless first home.
“Squin is the safest beginner base. If you are lost, go there.”
