Heavy Armor Guide Intermediate
Beginners think heavy armour is slow. Veterans know it is the reason their tank is still standing.
Heavy armour turns a strong character into an immovable front line — wear it on tanks, never on speed builds.
Why Heavy Armour Is Strong
Heavy armour gives the best damage reduction in the game and converts lethal cutting hits into survivable blunt ones, protecting limbs and preventing the wounds that lose characters.
The Penalties
It reduces combat speed, cripples stealth, Dodge and Martial Arts, and adds encumbrance. These costs are real — but on a dedicated tank they barely register.
Who Wears It
Put heavy armour on your highest-Defence, high-Strength front-line fighters. Their job is to stand and block, so slowness does not matter.
Where To Get It
Buy quality plate from United Cities armouries — Heft especially — or craft it once your base has the research and the skilled workers.
“Toughness is trained by losing. Get downed where guards will save you, then heal and repeat.”
