Light Armor
Light armour is not weak gear. It is specialist gear, and worn by the wrong character early on it gets them killed.
Minimal protection, minimal penalty. Essential for speed builds — dangerous on anyone who plans to get hit.
Overview
Light armour — leather, cloth and minimal plating — offers low protection but barely penalises speed, stealth, Martial Arts or Dodge.
Why It Can Be Dangerous Early
New players pick light armour because it "looks fast" and then take a fully-developed character into a fight they cannot block. Without high Dodge or Toughness, light armour means real wounds from every landed hit.
When It Works
Light armour shines on assassins, martial artists, ranged characters and high-Dodge skirmishers — builds that avoid hits rather than absorb them.
Who Should Wear It
Stealth and speed specialists with the skills to back it up. Not a default for a fragile early squad.
