Why Roles Matter
A squad of identical generalists is mediocre everywhere. A squad of specialists covers every situation — someone can always do the job the moment demands.
Combat Roles
Tanks in heavy armour anchor the front line; damage dealers work the flanks; crossbow shooters provide ranged fire from behind. Each is built and equipped differently.
Support Roles
A medic keeps the squad alive after fights, a builder and researcher develop the base, and a fast scout watches the route ahead for predators.
Building The Roster
Recruit and train toward gaps, not duplicates. As the squad grows, assign each new character a role the squad still lacks.
