Squad Formation Guide Intermediate
A squad that fights as a line beats a squad that fights as a crowd, every time.
Place tanks in front, ranged and support behind, hold chokepoints, and never let the squad get surrounded.
Why Formation Wins
Combat is decided by who is surrounded. A loose crowd gets enveloped; a tight line presents only its front and concentrates damage.
Roles In The Line
Heavy-armoured tanks form the front and absorb the fight. Damage dealers work the flanks of the line; ranged and medics stay behind it.
Chokepoints
Fight in gates, doorways and narrow terrain so enemies can only engage a few at a time. A chokepoint multiplies a small squad's effective strength.
Avoiding Encirclement
Back the squad against terrain or walls so nothing can reach the rear ranks. The moment the line is flanked, the fight turns.
