Desert Survival Beginner
The desert does not hunt you. It just waits for you to run out of water, shade and good sense.
Carry food and water, time your crossings, avoid acid-rain regions unprotected, and never march a hungry squad into open sand.
Water, Food & Hunger
Hunger drains steadily, and a starving character fights and moves poorly. Carry food, and keep a pack animal if you can — a garru turns a desperate crossing into a routine one.
Environmental Hazards
Some regions carry acid rain that damages unprotected characters. Check the region before crossing and route around hazard zones, or carry proper coverage.
Timing Your Travel
Plan crossings town to town with a clear destination. A squad caught between settlements at low food or health has no fallback.
Common Mistakes
Marching an already-hungry, already-wounded squad into open desert, and ignoring weather. The desert punishes poor planning more than bad luck.
