Behemoths

Behemoths — Kenshi Lore reference image

A Behemoth does not notice you. To something that large and that old, your whole squad is weather.

Colossal, ancient creatures that wander the wastes — relics of a different scale of life.

Overview

Behemoths are enormous, slow, ancient creatures roaming parts of the wasteland — among the largest living things in Kenshi.

Behaviour

Behemoths are generally peaceful and pay travellers little mind, plodding across the landscape on their own ancient routes.

Place In The World

They function as living scenery and atmosphere — a reminder that the wasteland holds older, stranger life than the factions warring over it.

Why It Matters

Behemoths reinforce Kenshi's sense of deep time and scale — the world is far larger and older than any one squad's story.

Wanderer's Note

“The Fog Islands eat the downed. A loss there is usually permanent.”
