Skeleton Bandits (The Broken) Hostile
A starving human bandit can be reasoned with by fear. A Broken Skeleton feels neither hunger nor fear.
Damaged, unstable Skeletons who raid the wasteland. Dangerous, tireless and immune to the things that stop human raiders.
Overview
The Skeleton Bandits — often called the Broken — are malfunctioning Ancient Skeletons whose minds have degraded over the centuries. They roam the wastes attacking travellers, driven by corrupted programming rather than survival.
Gameplay Impact
They are far deadlier than human bandits of similar level. They do not get hungry, do not flee, and keep fighting on broken limbs. They patrol around ruins and the Deadlands.
Joining & Reputation
You cannot ally with them. They are universally hostile. Killing them raises standing with most ordinary factions.
Military Strength
Skeleton bodies shrug off bleeding and cutting damage and are vulnerable mostly to blunt force. They favour heavy weapons. Their relentlessness is the real threat — they will chase a wounded squad to its death.
Best Uses
Best for: salvage. Their corpses yield Skeleton Repair Kits, robotics components and Ancient parts worth real money.
“Train Athletics early — a fast squad chooses which fights happen.”
