Anti-Bandit Strategies Beginner
Bandits are weak one at a time. They make sure it is never one at a time.
Use town guards, fight at chokepoints, never get surrounded, and let numbers — yours or the guards' — do the work.
Understand The Threat
Most bandits — Hungry Bandits, Dust Bandits — are individually weak but attack in packs. The danger is being surrounded, not being outmatched.
Fight Near Guards
The simplest anti-bandit tactic is to lead them to a guarded town. Town guards will join the fight, turning a dangerous swarm into safe combat XP.
Use Chokepoints
Gates, doorways and narrow terrain force bandits to engage a few at a time. A single good blocker at a chokepoint can hold a whole pack.
Know When To Run
If the pack is too large and no guards are near, leave. A fed, rested squad outruns most bandits — losing the fight you never had costs nothing.
