Medium armour is the answer for the characters who must both survive a hit and still get things done.
The compromise tier — meaningful protection without the worst of the speed and stealth penalties.
Overview
Medium armour sits between heavy plate and light gear, offering solid protection with more moderate penalties to speed and skills.
When To Choose It
Medium armour suits versatile fighters who need durability but cannot afford to be as slow as a full tank — second-rank melee, mobile sabre users, and mixed squads.
Penalties
Its penalties are real but manageable: some speed and stealth loss, modest skill reduction. It rarely shines, but it rarely fails either.
Who Should Wear It
All-round fighters and most of a developing squad's mid-rank. A safe default before a character commits to a tank or speed build.
