Power Systems
A base with no power plan is a base that stops working at sundown. Build the grid before the machines.
Machines need power. Wind, generators and batteries keep production running through the night.
Overview
Power runs production machines, lights and defences. Your two main sources are wind turbines and fuel-burning generators, buffered by batteries.
Wind vs Generators
Wind power is free but unreliable — it depends on the region's wind levels. Generators are consistent but consume fuel you must produce or buy. Most bases use a mix.
Batteries
Small Battery and larger battery units store surplus power so machines keep running when wind drops or generators idle. Without storage, output stutters.
Sizing The Grid
Total your machines' draw, then build generation and storage above it. An under-powered grid silently throttles every production chain in the base.
