The Anti-Slavers Friendly

The Anti-Slavers — Kenshi Factions reference image

The Anti-Slavers are losing. That is exactly why they need you, and exactly why joining them costs so much.

A rebel movement of escaped slaves and idealists fighting the United Cities slave trade. Allies of conscience, not of strength.

Beginner WarningDo not commit to the Anti-Slavers until your squad can survive losing the United Cities. That is a huge chunk of the map turning hostile.

Overview

Led by Tinfist — a Skeleton with a long memory and a longer grudge — the Anti-Slavers are a guerrilla faction dedicated to destroying the United Cities slave economy. They shelter freed slaves and strike at slave camps and noble convoys.

They are the closest thing to a "good guys" faction, and the game makes you pay for siding with them.

Gameplay Impact

Allying with the Anti-Slavers turns the entire United Cities against you over time, locking you out of the richest trade region on the map. In exchange you gain a cause, freed-slave recruits, and access to faction events.

It is a mid-to-late game commitment, not an early one. New squads cannot survive UC hostility.

Joining & Reputation

Free slaves, kill slavers, and destroy slave camps to gain reputation. You cannot meaningfully raise it without wrecking your UC standing.

High reputation can trigger the world-state shift where the Anti-Slavers move against the UC outright — one of the game's major dynamic outcomes.

Military Strength

Individually the Anti-Slavers are weak: poorly equipped ex-slaves with patchy stats. Their strength is numbers, terrain and your support. They cannot win the war alone.

Best Uses

Best for: a story-driven anti-slavery playthrough, freed-slave recruits, and triggering the late-game collapse of UC power. Not a beginner faction.

“Buy a Bonedog puppy early and raise it through your squad’s fights.”
